Joint Integrity Training

SPX BOLTING SYSTEMS are more than just a supplier of the best equipment in the world. We recognize that training is a vital ingredient to any successful relationship and an initial investment in training will repay itself many times over to the end user. We are accredited by both the ECITB MJI (Mechanical Joint Integrity) Training Standards program as a training provider and technical test centre, as well as API’s Training Provider Certification Program, offering a range of courses covering joint integrity and flange management to industry recognized standards. All of our instructors have many years experience in the joint integrity/flange management sector, including considerable time in a hands-on role actually doing the job that they are now training others to do. In addition to this all of our instructors have nationally recognized teaching qualifications, which reinforce the quality and value of the training programs that we offer.

Our courses use a mix of both theoretical and practical elements providing a positive learning experience for the learner. We have a purpose built training facility located at our Ashington, UK and in Houston, Texas USA in which learners are encouraged by our Instructors to embrace all aspects of Health and Safety and to strive for a right first time approach to all joint integrity applications. We can also bring the training to you utilizing our mobile training rigs and all associated equipment.

Courses can be delivered in a variety of formats including:

OPITO –Petroleum Open Learning
(Available at our UK facility)

We also have an alliance with OPITO –Petroleum Open Learning.  This allows us to conduct and invigilate the OPITO – Petroleum Open Learning Examinations at our Ashington Northumberland facility.

Petroleum Open Learning provides the upstream Oil and Gas Industry with a flexible self-learning tool that enhances technical knowledge and leads to improved skills and performance in the workplace. Programmes can support training plans, help with career development and guidance and set candidates on the road to achieving national qualifications.

Candidates in the UK will now have the option of sitting the Petroleum Open Learning exams in our training facility.

Health & Safety
(Available at our UK facility)

In addition to the above we are also an accredited IOSH training provider and can deliver the following IOSH Health and Safety courses.

IOSH Working Safely – 1 Day, suitable for all employees

IOSH Managing Safely – 4 days, suitable for managers and supervisors.

As with all of our training we can deliver these courses at our training centre or at your facility.

 

 We also can offer training at our global service centers. Our Houston, Texas facility has been recently certified with local trainers and our other centers will follow. If on-site training is preferred, we can accommodate that as well.

Manual Handling Training Courses
(Available at our UK facility)

The following Manual Handling Training courses are now available:

Basic Manual Handling - This 1.5 hour course will suit office, admin staff etc.

Manual Handling - This 3 hour course will suit production, workshop, warehouse staff etc.

Our Manual Handling courses are delivered by a City and Guilds registered Manual Handling Instructor.

 

First Aid Training Courses
(Available at our UK facility)

The following First Aid Training courses are now available:

First Aid at Work

First Aid at Work Requalifier

Emergency First Aid at Work

Early Years Foundation Stage / OFSTED

Baby First Aid

Basic Life Support

Use of Defibrillator

We can also provide assessment services for the practical assessment sessions of the 3 day First Aid at Work course.
